2008 went by just like that, nothing new nor great happened in my life. I had completed 4 months in my job when the year started and i guess i was too busy adjusting to that life. But these are some stuff which is worth a mention .....
One of the exciting stuff that i felt i was doing was playing around in the stock market. As 2008 started the BULL disappeared, i guess it was just too tired after finishing the half marathon of 21k. SENSEX tumbled and i understood the real side of the market. My learning was now complete but with a pretty big tution fees though. Then there was no looking back .. literally !! (Almost 10 months).
But still i see it as a very enriching experience. I would definitely like to get my hand in again and earn some stuff back in 09.
Next highlight was the treks. My first trek was to Kumara Parvatha and this was supposed to be the toughest trek in karnataka. The feeling once you reach the top is truly amazing and worth every drop of sweat. I felt that i should have started this pretty early in my life. Trekking became an addiction later and Kodachadri, Skandagiri, Tadiandammol, Aarshungunte falls and Hebbe fall treks followed. I truly enjoyed every one of them and these treks kept most of my weekends busy in the first half of the year.
Then the Goa trip, gang of 12 with 5 girls was really a shocker. Fun @ titto's, banana ride, water bike, parasailing, sizzlers in shacks, dinner in baga beach, getting high on hukka, DCH spot, shot film in baga with goa police being our guest appearance, shopping in anjuna beach and the night i understood what spirit is all about!!... every one of them were fantastic. CASINO on the cruise is still in the wishlist though. 5 days in GOA was truly amazing and was definitely an unforgettable trip.
Team change, finally. My first few months of job experience was simply awful;bad boss, no work and those irritating PDF's. Each day in those 8 months was frustrating and was quiet funny too. The way whole team united and came out of that mess was awesome. I feel the best team building excercise starts with having a BAD BOSS ;). After all that, i am pretty sure i am ready to handle the corporate world (atleast i won't be surprised). As the worst is already over !!.
My new team was great and i had lot of work to do, next 5 to 6 months was about spending a lot of time in office working on my first project. I did enjoy that time.
Then the dance classes, most of the weekends at the end of 2008 was about dancing. I came back from chennai after being rejected for US visa and wanted to do something fun to get over it. So Pratik & me just entered the trial dance class of Shaimak Davar and we joined the classes along with srinath next week. Dance then became a reason for 3 of us to stay up all night and roam around the city on saturday nights. Mocha, Empire, Pinxx , Barista @ leela, pratik's room were our common adda's for cribbing about every rich guy, sexy car and hot girl we came across. Funny time . . but i'm sure there is more such time to come !!!
One thing that we missed this year was a trip to Tirupathi.2008 was an unplanned year with no much expection, i beleive 2009 would be more focussed and planned.
Let see ... How it goes !!
Cheers

Great Summary!!
Of what i read 2008 has been a great learning experience for you...
1. Stock market is full of ups and downs. But if you wnt these ups and downs a little too steep and faster I can suggest another game for you..
2. I was part of a couple of treks, although i missed the restof them. Would like to be part of them.
3. Goa trip is definitely the highlight of the year."the night i understood what spirit is all about!!... " is the best sentence of the paragraph. I did understand as well.
4.I am sure you have compensated your first 8 months of joblessnes with next 8 months of double work. I do not know many people who have started their career as exciting as yours. Atleast for me your career start was exciting.
5.Dance class was definitely something we enjoyed. Would love to do it this year as well.
6. Tirupathi was a bad miss. Need to do it for sure ASAP.
You should have mentioned the way we signed off 2008 and little bit about your crockery skills. Probably this could have helped your 2008 resolution come true.
